What’s it like to work with me?
I will always bring a non-judgmental perspective and willingness to listen deeply to your concerns to our therapy appointments. I approach each session collaboratively, so we’re able to establish clear and achievable goals, explore your concerns and experiences, and find strategies that feel right for you. I strive to create a comfortable and trusting environment to ensure you always feel heard and accepted (plus, I like to sprinkle in a little humor too!).
Drawing from my wealth of experience and knowledge of various therapeutic techniques, I will tailor my approach to meet your individual needs and preferences. Ultimately, my overall goal is to empower you to tap into your own strengths, build resilience, and achieve meaningful and sustainable positive change in your life.
If you’re looking for a therapist who…
➝ Gives you the space to express yourself freely, without fear of being misunderstood, criticized or side-eyed (you know the look),
➝ Offers practical tips and tools to integrate into your daily routine to manage stress and boost your overall mental health &
➝ Offers a collaborative, tailored approach to your individual needs and experiences,
Then I’m your girl!
I get that life can throw us some really tough challenges.
I want you to know, that I see you as a whole person, and that you aren’t defined by your struggles. Navigating my own mental health experiences has deepened my understanding of what it means to struggle and how to overcome that struggle. This personal connection fuels my commitment to each of my clients and a deep-rooted desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
This innate drive is also what led me to pursue my Master’s in Social Work, which allowed me to channel my compassion and empathy into professional practice. I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of settings, from youth shelters to community mental health centers, as well as inpatient and outpatient hospital settings.
These experiences have allowed me to work closely with individuals with acquired brain injuries, at-risk youth, adults experiencing their first episode of psychosis, seniors and many more. Each encounter has deepened my dedication to the field, and reaffirmed my passion to make a difference.
A little more personal.
During my downtime, you can find me indulging in any and all reality TV shows. (Vanderpump Rules and Love is Blind are personal favourites, but that’s probably no surprise!). When I’m not spending a cozy night in crocheting a new blanket, you can find me exploring the terrain on new hiking trails.
Coming from an Italian background, my weekends are spent surrounded by lots of family, endless laughter and an abundance of pizza and pasta. On my free time, I love recreating old family recipes and tending to my growing collection of 45 (and counting!) plants.
